I have been working on design since 2009 when I made my first sculptures from materials which had been washed ashore on beaches around Bodrum. Each creation gives me a sense of inner happiness. When people became interested in my work I started to search for more durable materials. As a boy I spent my summer holidays helping my father in his car repair shop. It was there that I came in to contact with metals, wires and different paints and learnt how to weld and solder. These materials and processes inspired me to incorporate these new skills into my designs.<\/p>\n

Recently I have added iron, steel, copper and brass to my repertoire. Working with new materials is exciting because each one has a different smell, feel, handling requirement and reaction to processing which lend themselves to entirely individual forms. I also enjoy working with scrap metal. This scrap metal becomes the protagonist in my creations. The rebirth of these scrap items is what makes this work so special to me mirroring the great cycle of life. The flaws in the material are very important as they show its history which enriches the uniqueness of each piece.<\/p>\n

In 2015 I participated in two group exhibitions and in the 2nd Bodrum Bienniale. I had a solo exhibition in Bodrum at the Ottoman Shipyard in June 2016 named \u201cTel Hikayeler\u201d (Wiry Stories) and will have another solo exhibition at Trafo in Bodrum 4-10 September 2016.<\/p>\n

I made a sculpture named ‘G\u00f6kova Sadun Boro yu kucakl\u0131yor’ in the memory of Sadun Boro on June \u00a02017, Kiseb\u00fck\u00fc Adal\u0131yal\u0131 .<\/p>\n

l have exhibition \u00a018 October 2017 at Galeri Selvin- \u0130stanbul.<\/p>\n

\u0130 transfered my atelier to Italy, l still continue to works at Rimini .<\/p>\n

I was invited to the Borgo degli Artisti Residence program with my project in ltaly, the project I started in June concluded in October 2019 ; I donated the statue named Persistenza to the Fucina Museum for the Bienno comune.<\/p>\n

\u00c7ocuklu\u011fumun yaz tatilleri babam\u0131n kaporta at\u00f6lyesinde ge\u00e7ti, kaynak kokusu, karpit, boya, lehim, metal, tel bunlar ile 13 ya\u015flar\u0131nda tan\u0131\u015ft\u0131m. Do\u011fal olarak \u00e7\u0131rakl\u0131k d\u00f6neminde tan\u0131d\u0131\u011f\u0131m hatta oynamaktan keyif ald\u0131\u011f\u0131m malzemeler ile yapt\u0131klar\u0131m ,d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcnd\u00fc\u011f\u00fcm kal\u0131c\u0131 i\u015flerin olu\u015fmas\u0131na \u00f6nemli katk\u0131 sa\u011flad\u0131, y\u00f6n verdi. Son d\u00f6nemde demir, \u00e7elik. bak\u0131r, pirin\u00e7 ile \u00e7al\u0131\u015f\u0131yorum. Yeni malzemeler ile \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmak heyecan verici. Her malzemenin kendine has kokusu, sertli\u011fi, i\u015flenme tekni\u011fi, izi, \u00a0vs. gibi \u00f6zellikleri var, her malzemeden yeni bir \u015fey \u00f6\u011freniyorum, \u00f6\u011frendik\u00e7e evren de geni\u015fliyor.<\/p>\n
